Volunteers are an essential element in the growth and development of any organization.
The Loch Raven Improvement Association, in particular, could not achieve the goals that we strive to obtain each year without the selfless efforts of each of our volunteers.
And we thank them wholeheartedly!
But we need more residents to get involved!!!
Neighborhood residents are highly encouraged to participate in any number of available committees.
Opportunities are always available in either leadership or support roles, in any program or activity, based on your personal or professional skill set, commitment, or passion.
The ultimate goal of committee engagement is to encourage teamwork and camaraderie among residents, to ultimately propose, plan, and implement projects that strengthen our community.
Reasons to join a committee:
We truly believe that you will find your experience as a LRIA volunteer to be extremely rewarding.
This group of dedicated volunteers collaborate in earnest to formulate short and long-term strategies on recruitment, engagement, and retention of membership within the LRIA.
A standing committee with goals of raising funds to insure the financial viability and stability of the Association. Any and all funds generated by this committee are solely for non-profit, and are fully reinvested back into the community.
This committee schedules and conducts housing inspections of the entire LRIA district for code compliance, in order to maintain a safe and attractive neighborhood.
These citizens volunteer time to actively patrol our area, to monitor and report suspicious, or criminal activity to the Northeast police district. Volunteers choose the days and times they wish to patrol and they adhere to no fixed schedule.
Residents involved in newsletter delivery ensure that the most updated news and current events affecting our neighborhood, is delivered right to your front door. New volunteers are always welcomed to help get the word out.
A committed group of volunteers tasked with identifying new projects designed to enhance the overall appearance of the LRIA, to include neighborhood clean-ups, greening activities,
and community sign upgrades.
